Overland Park KS RETIRED!!! Sneaking out of school, with as many people who could fit into Stephanie Straub's gunboat of a car, to go cruising and smoking, um, cigarettes. Yes, that's it, cigarettes.... Got married at 23, had one beautiful daughter, Ryan, and moved to Colorado, where I lived for more than 20 yrs. Spent my career in the automotive industry, as a Process Improvement Consultant. I traveled the country, visiting dealerships and training dealers and staff, on processes and procedures within their department. Was also lucky enough to work personally for Lee Iacocca, in his electric vehicle venture, where I called on military installations such as NORAD, and trained personnel on the use of Mr. Iacocca's electric products. I retired in 2007, and am enjoying my new hobbies, which include walking, eating, and breathing...

Independence MO Social Worker and Counselor Riding around with Stephanie Straub and others in a car, smoking cigarettes and ______. In other words, we were partying. I went to my first rock concert, Grand Funk Railroad. Had some good times and not-so-good times, but that's what keeps life interesting. It's a long story. I went through some hard times for the 10 years after I graduated. I don't want to talk about it other than I learned a great deal. I finally decided to go back to school and received a Master's in Counseling in Guidance Psychology and I am licensed to practice in Missouri as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working for Don Bosco Senior Center as a social worker for the Meals on Wheels Program. I have been married and divorced. Now I am single with many friends and a social life. I attend Unity on the Plaza. I love gardening and cooking in my spare time. I get into all types of music including Irish music and World Music. Mike Damico and I are trying to bridge the gap between black and white people. We have done 2 radio spots this past April and hope to do more. Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon
I have a private practice where I specialize in trauma and death and dying issues. Contact me to see if I can help you with any difficulty you are going through in this process. Send Debora a MessageSend Debora a Message

St Louis MO Engineer Hanging out in senior hall "studying" with a lot of great people. After HS, I worked as an air conditioning service guy, which I continued to do on the side while attending college. After a year working full time, I started college at SMSU Springfield Mo in 1974. Transferred to MU School of Engineering in Sept of 76 and graduated with a BSME in 79. Met my wife Sara in late 1980 and we were married 9 months later. Sara (Cramer) is a 1977 Hogan grad. She's still putting up with me. In 1984 2 partners and 1 started an engineering company now known as CRB (Clark, Richardson & Biskup). We started in a partners basement in Liberty MO. That partner, my age, retired in 2001 the other in 2010. I still work for CRB. In 1990 Sara and I, and our first two children (at the time one was 4 and other 2 months)moved to St Louis to start the first branch office of CRB. Our 3rd child was born in St Louis. CRB now has 15 offices, including 1 in Basel Switzerland. We mostly work in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Sara and I still live in ST Louis. however, we have a 2nd home in KC; we call it our 'lake house' minus the lake. We have three grown children; girl, boy, girl. One is married with a 3 year old, our granddaughter. That daughter, a brain cancer survivor, is expecting our 2nd grand child any day now. I am still actively working for CRB and don't intend to retire for a while. I really enjoy my career. I played a lot of baseball/softball tournaments and indoor soccer for many years, till I got old. I'm still a Royals, Chiefs and MU fan, despite living in St Louis.

Kansas City MO I went to School of the Ozarks 3 weeks after graduation! It was really beautiful down there, but I left within 2 years. I graduated from Penn Valley, while working at old St. Marys Hospital and the Community Colleges. My career of 32+ years was with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City in the IT department, retiring as a business systems analyst in 2011. After many years of living in mid-town, I moved to a 5 acre property (country in the city) in east KC. This keeps me plenty busy. No children, but 8 siblings (3 deceased), 16 niece/nephews, 23 grand, and 2 great-grand! Sadly, we lost Michael-class of 75, Peggy-class of 64, and Claudia-class of 69, all from Hogan. I like to go on road trips (driving of course) on all kinds of hi-ways and roads, seeing big cities, little towns, mountains of all sizes, and visiting state capitol buildings! I have 13 more US states to see, not to mention parts of Canada. New England was beautiful last year - photo taken in Maine. I have a true relationship with God now, in a way I never knew in my early life. I feel really blessed.

Overland Park KS Retired After graduation I attended Penn Valley Community College graduating in 1975, and married Lorre in 1976. That same year I became a police officer with the City of Overland Park, where I was employed for 25 years, retiring in 2001 as the Investigation Division Commander. Along the way I graduated from the Administrative Officers Course at the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville, earned a Bachelors Degree in Management and Human Relations from MidAmerica Nazarene College, and a Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Pittsburg State University. In 2002 I began a second career as a high school teacher and coach in the KCK School District where I taught in the Social Studies Department at J.C. Harmon High School. I was also the Head Varsity Baseball Coach and the Head Varsity Boy's Soccer Coach for 9 of my 12 years there. I retired from teaching in 2014. Meeting new classmates for the first time freshman year and senior year, knowing our journey into adulthood was just beginning. The Senior trip to Washington DC and NYC was cool. I attended Penn Valley Community College from 8-1973 until I graduated with a Associate Degree in Nursing. Met my first husband Anthony Canaleo, Jr there. We had 2 daughters. Divorced and remarried Chris Vodopest 9-1989. 5 children. Total kiddos for me 7, 3 girls, 4 boys. Happily working at NKCHospital for 36 years, 30 years in critical care, presently in the GI Lab as staff nurse. Busy life!

Leawood KS Retired Darn, it's all so vague (right Marsha?). But I recall what I believe was our senior retreat. Mike Greene played the piano, we sang and it was just kind of a cool way to come to the close of our high school years. Anyone else remember this -please tell me I'm not hallucinating. Moved around a bit - LA, Minneapolis, Denver, Minneapolis again, Omaha and back to KC. Worked mostly as a Marketing Manager. Married, two sons, divorced, married again, three step sons. Yay, two grand kiddos:). Retired! A walker, gardener, reader, diyer. Life's been good. Let's Stay Together (Marvin Gaye)

Winter Park FL Retired Military I played hookie at the mall across the street a lot. One day, some friends told me that while I was NOT at the assembly, my name was called to receive an award for computer class. (Never did get that award.) Turned 18 in Navy boot camp at Orlando, and swore I'd never go back to Orlando. Married immediately. Went right to sea duty. 10 years later, went to school--in Orlando, got divorced and swore I'd never go back to Orlando. Joined the USAF, went straight back overseas, retired after 20 years, married a wonderful medical doctor who gave me two PERFECT children. She has since passed. Now I'm putting my kids through school--in Orlando!
Looking forward to seeing you all again at Bob and Louise's house and at the Cowtown Ballroom!

Waukesha WI High School Chemistry teacher--retired Mrs. Stevens, the guidance counselor, helping me get a scholarship. After high school, I went to Rockhurst College and graduated with a degree in biology and education in 1977. I then went to graduate school and earned a degree in zoology from So. Illinois U. in 1979. It was at SIU that I met my husband Jim. We married in 1979 and moved to Minnesota for a year then on to Wisconsin when Jim got a job there. I started teaching biology at Waukesha South High School in 1981. I then earned a minor in Chemistry at Marquette, and taught chemistry there since 1983. I retired from teaching in 2011, after 30 years in the classroom. Currently, I am an adjunct instructor at Carroll University part time. I also work for ETS and the College Board, grading AP Chemistry exams. Jim retired from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in 2015. More importantly, Jim and I have 2 great sons, Tony and Marc. Tony is a metallurgical engineer and is married to Sarah, a med tech. They have one son, Vincent. Vinnie is, of course, adorable, and Jim and I are fortunate we get to babysit him several times a week. Marc is a mechanical engineer and is married to Lauren, a nurse. They were married last year, so no children yet, but we always have room in our hearts for more grandkids. Jim and I are enjoying life as semi-retired folks. We travel a bit in the winter to escape the Wisconsin weather and in the summer we spend as much time as possible at our place in northern Door County, WI. I usually visit KC once or twice a year to visit my Dad (mom passed in 2015) and my sister and brothers. I have been extraordinarily blessed in life and I attribute part of that to the excellent education I received at Hogan.
I am sorry I won't be able to come to the reunion this year.  I will be in Salt Lake City grading AP Chem exams.  I promised Elaine I would be there for the 50th reunion. Send Mary a MessageSend Mary a Message

We moved to the country in 2003 where we have 40 acres and all kinds of things to do. We are blessed with 5 grandchildren (two sets of twins). People ask us if twins run in our family. Kansas City MO Journalist Since Hogan I served in the Army and learned a trade (welding) and never used it. After the Army I went to Longview C.C. and later transferred to MU. Gary Lofstrom was my roommate...he was a lot of fun. I met my future wife at Mizzou...she was a lot of fun (and still is). After MU I started working at KMBZ radio. Walt Bodine hired me after I interned for him. KMBZ carried the Royals on radio and it just so happens baseball went on strike that summer which meant there was going to be Walt Bodine on instead of baseball. Why does that matter? It prompted Walt to hire me. Then the station turned to news/talk and I became the managing editor. Yada, yada, yada...got a job at ch.9 and worked there for 30 years in various news management capacities. Which brings us to today. I retired from ch.9 and a few months later ch. 5 called and offered me a parttime job and I accepted. Rosemary and I have been married for 36 years. We have two children (girls) and one grandchild with a second due in mid June.

Kansas City MO Retired RN I remember Sister George. She was tough but fun. I learned a lot from her. I also remember Sister Madaleva and her pounding on the table. Another favorite teacher was Mr Day. I graduated from Avila in 1977 with an RN degree. I worked for 31 years as an ICU nurse. I worked at St. Mary's, and St. Luke's hospitals and for Olsten Health Care. I was a member of the St. Thomas More choir for 21 years. In 2001, the choir was selected from 300 choirs around the world to go to Rome and sing for the Pope at the Closing of the Holy Doors. This was such an honor.
I really enjoyed the 40th reunion and especially going to Hogan and seeing our old school. It brought back so many great memories. I plan to be at the 45th and look forward to seeing everyone there.

I married in 1980 and divorced 22 years later. I have 2 wonderful daughters and am fortunate enough to have them still living in the KC area.
Over the last 25-30 years I’ve been very active in the Irish community in Kansas City. First with a group called Celtic Fringe and the Brookside Irish Fest and ultimately the Kansas City Irish Fest. Blue Eye MO Civil Engineer One day in the lunchroom with my buds, the late Mike Greene gave me a nickname Jesse" that I go by to this day. Loved ditching school and going to IHOP and the Landing. Loved it when Hogan finally had decent football teams (thanks to those transfers from De La Salle). I especially am grateful for so many really nice classmates at Hogan. Okay there were a few a-holes, but they all grew up. At the time I didn't think so, but looking back the nuns were a hoot! I feel like I have been blessed with the family and friends I have had through life. After years of partying, I finally settled down with a wonderful woman, my wife Jan, finished college, got into a great career and have 4 fantastic kids, Breann, Vincent, Louie & Charlie. Lived in KC until 2013, when we moved south and now live on Table Rock Lake. I still come to KC regularly to visit family and for BBQ and the Blues. I try to visit BB's and Knuckleheads when I can, also Princess Gardens (best Chinese food ever) I miss the great food and entertainment of KC. We love the peace and quiet of the lake. Great place for us & our dogs. swimming, boating, cliff jumping, canoeing, paddle boarding, trails and other outdoor activities are what we do. I love to visit my siblings in KC, Jefferson City, Texas & New Mexico. Lately I play a lot of Frisbee golf. I hope to see as many of you as possible...ok? Tough to pick one.. I like so many genres. MO Retired Having the amazing good fortune of going to high school with so many wonderful people and establishing friendships that have lasted all these years! Ok there's all that heartfelt sentimental stuff AND remembering Sister Ann Margaret's Biology classes & lectures. She would talk for so long without swallowing that spit would literally come flying out & God help you if you were on the front row. And who could forget her sex ed advice (?) warnings(?) obsession (?) with gems like "Girls are like irons, they heat up slowly but boys are like light switches, they turn on fast!" and "Girls, don't wear patent leather shoes because boys can see (the reflection) underneath your skirts!" Yep it's true and I know others will confirm. See you all June 8-9 to discuss this and other wacky memories! Kinda hard to condense 45 yrs into a paragraph but this might also work if I’m ever on Wheel of Fortune ;-) A happily retired IT supervisor from Metropolitan Community College since 2013, Marsha lives in KCMO with her rescue dog Gracie. She has an awesome daughter Caitlin who lives in Santa Fe, NM with her husband Ryan and granddogs Gunther and Marcy and grandcats Bruce and Mercedes. When Marsha’s not busy writing her bio for reunion websites, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, cheering on the Royals, Chiefs, and Wichita State Shockers, and getting her groove on at Knuckleheads and other live music venues across the KC metro. Impossible to choose just one but favorite artists include: Stevie Wonder, Beatles, The Jackson Five / Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Three Dog Night, Smokey Robinson, Bee Gees, Carpenters, Sly & the Family Stone, Guess Who, Bachman Turner Overdrive. Oh my goodness this is too hard.

Then worked as a professional fundraiser for nonprofit organizations 15 years, which was too long. Joined DST Realty, as a senior relationship manager. For 15 years I was very involved in the revitalization of downtown KC, serving on many boards and commissions. Worked on many downtown initiatives. Still serve on many boards. My wife, Kay (a music teacher)and I have been married 35 years, with 4 kids. Two daughters are married, each have baby girls. Two sons, in mid 20's, out of school and with good jobs. Live on a small acreage, raising a few cattle, hogs and chickens. Garden. Planted a vineyard a few years ago, which keeps me plenty busy. Yes, we make wine and surprising to all, it is pretty darn good. Have been studying Italian, daily, for 5 years - competent, not fluent, yet. Took the family to Italy last summer - amazing trip. Was able to communicate with everyone, everywhere. Plan to return soon. Life has been good and I hope everyone has been equally as blessed, if not better. Ciao.

Springfield MO Retired My favorite memory was playing sports. Football, Soccer and Track but especially football. Friday nights under the lights. The crowds in the stands cheering us on, the feeling of excitement being on the field. The adrenaline flowing through our veins. The crisp fall air. Win or lose going out afterwards and having a good time with our friends. I think to this day I could tell you 90% of who played what position in the team. I'm married to my beautiful wife Kimberley. I have 7 amazing children all together. 4 of my own and 3 step-children. I spent almost 35 years in the restaurant business, almost 20 years of that with Sonic Drive-In. Spent the last 12 years in the travel industry working for Marriott and Wyndham World Wide. I've been blessed to have traveled to many wonderful locations. My wife and I both love to travel and are looking to do even more of that since I am now retired. I've had the honor of working on two reunion committes including our 45th and have totally enjoyed connecting with old friends and staying in touch with many of you. I have been truly blessed. Life is good and only getting better.
Looking forward to seeing old friends and reconnecting with you all. I hope to see you all next June 8th & 9th for our best reunion ever.  Send Pat a MessageSend Pat a Message

Kansas City MO Retired - Nonprofit Director Meeting my husband, David. Also having arrived my Junior year, I felt welcomed and everyone was so nice. My senior year of high school I started working for a local doctor (thank you Mrs. Royer) and spent 20 years with him until he retired, I spent the next 22 years working for an international nonprofit, Unbound as Director of Operations and Director of US Outreach. I received my MBA from Rockhurst University in 2001. David and I just celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary. We have three great kids (Evan, Annie and Emily) who are all grown now. Best of all we now have 7 grandchildren. I retired in 2016 and now have lots of time to spend with the kids and grandkids. I\'m also able to spend time on my art and now David and I have more time to spend at our ranch in the Ozarks. American Pie or Freebird always remind me of high school. I was also into Joni Mitchell and Cat Stevens so Blue or Peace Train.
I absolutely cannot believe it's been 45 years. Looking forward to the retunion and to seeing everyone again.

Raytown MO Union Organizer The "Come Together" program in 1972 and rolling up our skirts and getting away with it. Went to Longview CC and then joined the Navy. Had 2 great girls, Rachel and Jessica. Rachel passed away from complications of epilepsy. Have 3 grandchildren. Worked for 35 years as a Union Organizer. Organized janitors, window washers, school bus drivers, nursing home workers, mariners and for the last 20 years RNS. It has afforded me the pleasure of travelling to all 50 states and meeting incredible people. Also was one of the founders of KKFI 90.1 community radio in KC. and Cross Border Network for Justice and Solidarity. Have travelled to Nicaragua and Mexico frequently, building a primary school and worker center for maquilador workers. But am glad to be retired; play and go places with grandchildren and just work in the yard. Lots of favorites: Abraham, Martin and John; anything Temptations and Four Tops and Carole King
